Inspiration and idea
Our story began in 2000 on the picturesque Côte d'Azur. While traveling on their trailer boat, the Renz family observed a neighbor writing on her fenders with a felt-tip pen. This idea, born out of necessity, inspired Fritz Renz, a textile engineer and owner of the Renz Jacquard Knitting Company, to develop custom fender covers.
The solution - knitted fender covers
The innovative solution—which incorporated the lettering three times around the entire surface—sparkled the boat's home port on Lake Constance. The innovative coverings gave their owners' yachts a stylish and exclusive appearance.
First successes
Our first major success at the Interboot trade fair in Friedrichshafen laid the foundation for today's fender-design company. Thanks to creative ideas, we secured our first orders and continuously expanded our product range. After completing her studies, Linda Renz took over product sales.

Premium velour
Our premium velour is the best material for fender covers. Sand and dirt get caught in the conventional terry cloth, rubbing against the valuable gelcoat. Our premium velour even cleans itself thanks to its open, protruding fibers.

Our unique knitting technique allows us to knit the yacht logo three times all the way around without it standing out from the surface and wearing out faster.
